Lemonade’s Mission is to provide yoga programming, outreach, and wrap-around services for San Francisco’s most at-risk youth in the juvenile justice system.

“We always need to keep learning and moving forward as human beings. It gives the kids a chance to reflect on where they are at and what they need to continue. At the end, they have taken this on..so that they are leaving feeling successful.” – Sandy Till, Executive Director (pictured with SF Juvenile Hall staff)

Lemonade’s Yoga Program is integrated into the San Francisco Juvenile Justice Department:

  • Classes In The Hall: The core of Lemonade’s work centers around weekly classes at the juvenile hall, serving upwards of 50 youth through this program each week.
  • Job Readiness Training: Lemonade also provides yoga-based programming for a month-long after school program offered to juveniles on probation.
  • Classes Outside The Hall: Finally, Lemonade strives to support youth re-establishing themselves in the community by serving as a resource for yoga classes and information once they have completed their time at juvenile hall.

The groundwork for Lemonade – A Yoga Program, began in 2009 when Executive Director Sandy Till began teaching a weekly volunteer class in San Francisco’s Juvenile Hall. In 2012, Lemonade was awarded state level and Federal 501(c)(3) status as a Not-for-Profit Organization.  We are a grant-funded and donation based program.  Learn more about how you can support our efforts here.
